BYOP, no data/mms

BYOP, no data/mms

Postby kurtsbees » Wed Jul 31, 2013 8:26 pm

Will someone please help me out here? I just bought a t-mobile samsung galaxy s4. I bought and installed the ST sim card. Phone and text work, but no data and no mms. This is rediculous, before purchasing the phone i spent a while on the phone with ST customer service to make sure that I bought the phone that would most easily make the transition to ST.

I am using the APN settings from the ST website for t-mobile compatible phones. I'm in my home calling area and have good bars of service. What is going on here....let's get this fixed.

I wish ST understood how pointless these forums are if no one EVER posts a solution. It's like the posters get a mythical PM and then disappear, never to be heard from again. How about some common troubleshooting solutions posted somewhere?!

There is an issue because of APN settings that comes from Apple are for the newer sims that support LTE.
ST should replace the SIM cards of the affected users for free.

I hear - I ahve the same issue - I have added my ATT iphone 5 to st service - no problem - all is done now (yay)
Now I got my wife to join - sh has a T-Mobile iphone 5 and the sim gives me 3g only (H - on any other apn setting)

I got the "tmo" SIM card for this phone instead of the ATT (blueish) SIM card...

... do I need a different SIM card for the T-mobile phone than my ATT phone ?

If my ATT iphone works fine - should I just get the same SIM and same settings for my Tmobile Iphone ???
