galaxy s2 updats

I have been a straight talk user for many years to never once receive an update until to day after i have had this phone for two solid yrs and all it was going to do was enhance my browser features but all that has happened is my phone locks up and i get kicked off server all the time ive literally typed this three times now . I need to get the very newest software update to the s2. Ive had gingerbreak which was outdated when i bought it two years ago and have gotten fed up with the lack of costomer support ive never had a problem one with the way yall handle business before bc i usually work 7 days a week and dont have time to fool with this but as much money as ive paid over the years i think i should atleast have an up to date OS and updates that work properly
