I was told the same thing! I need to make 5 posts! This sounds ridiculous and makes for a great way to push customers away. I like my straight talk service so far; I don't want to see them close. I think it would be a smart business practice for them to amend this requirement.

For newly registered customers, they should participate more by posting at least 5 times to enable private messaging and to prevent spam, messages that are off topic and person whose purpose is to advertise for another product, etc. Thanks.
