T-Mobile / AT&T Serive Question

T-Mobile / AT&T Serive Question

Postby paladan » Sun Feb 03, 2013 2:17 am

I was looking at buying 2 phones with planes on the AT&T service in the 42501 area. I have noticed not only have the phone we wanted gone, but its changed to T-Mobile service which is the WORSE service in our area. Even looking at T-Mobile service maps I see we have very, very little coverage in our area. I still have the link to the phone we wanted which was COGMS4 code, but now its COGMS5. Would I able to still order through the site using that link (COGSM4) and get on the AT&T network since its the only one that will work, or should I wait till it comes back around? Thanks for any information, just wanted to make sure before paying large amount of money and find out we end up with phones that WILL not work what so ever in our area.

Do we have a idea of how long till the AT&T Service Sims will be in stock? I have less then a week before I make my order, and if it still is only offering T-Mobile then I will be going else where.

Hi paladan. Straight Talk Wireless is not selling SIM cards that are compatible with AT&T devices at this time. We’ll bring them back as soon as we can and will work to keep you up to date on this issue.

We need an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) for the AT&T SIM cards, 7 days, 14 days, 30 days, 60 days, 90 day, 6 months, 12 months? You should able to pad an expected date when you would hope to get the cards in.

Most of us will have to go with someone else unless we can hang our hat on a date that we might be able to hold out to.

If you don't have a date, my guess is we are talking a very extended time of 4-6 months and it is not simply an issue of restocking a manufacturing item but more likely a contract dispute issue...which is what I believe it is.

Not sure the problem, but I do have to agree with 3d-aholic with the people moving to different services due to not being able to use the current selection of service given.

Well I do see 2 phone still listed that may be Verizon access which may work, but as I said before T-Mobile should not be offered in our city due to they really are not in this general area.

Well I placed my order just now, lets see how long they take to get here. I did pay for overnight shipping and have a screen shot proving that I made the order before 2pm EST on Thrusday.. Now to see if my phone gets here tomorrow, or did I pay for nothing... But even if I am skeptical, I do look forward to the service, and price..

Well I do give credit where its due.. Props to Straight Talk for taking my order and getting it on the way here really fast. I did pay for overnight, and its right now in transit and should be here on time. I do know if its late it falls on Fed Ex and not due to anything Straight Talk did. I do see I have ONE package, but got 2 phones, so I am hoping both are in one box which is acceptable and really would be more eco friendly. So Thanks Straight Talk, Major Props on the fast ordering and shipping..

Update: Well I got my phones within the 24 hour window as promised. The phones were packed correctly, and easy to activate. We have used them for 2 days and really love them.. My only complaint is you have no way other then using an app to see how much data you have used, which is not a bad thing since I don't stream on it, so have no real worries of getting throttled back any. The service is as advertised even through we knew were we lived would be hard to get a signal, I can use the wi-fi to help with this. I get 3G speed with downloads of 1.5meg which is acceptable in our area. So great work Straight Talk, I will be staying with you for quite some time! Ordered a few cases to help protect the phones but other then that it is good!
