LOOKING FOR SOME HELP!!!

Postby Erinn » Wed Feb 15, 2012 1:06 am

I am TRYING to get some help here!!!! I've only received one response to to the following message, however I was unable to respond to it!!! I have sent several responses, yet they vanish or just never get posted??!!!?? CAN I GET SOME HELP HERE???!!!!

My friend had this phone for less than 3 mo. On Feb 3rd he purchased the $45 Straight Talk, and on Feb 8 he attempted to send a picture text, however the message was stuck analyzing, which caused him not to be able to send/receive any texts or access his contacts. When he went to Walmart on Feb 11 they told him he could send it in, however it could take up to 2 weeks to get it back. Because he had just paid the $45 one wk earlier and there was no way to credit his time without a phone, he bought another Samsung T528G. NOW the new phone wont allow him online, nor will it let him send/receive ANY PIC TEXTS! Every time he calls Customer Service he gets people that are very hard to understand, and they are unable to help him resolve these issues! He was told to just keep checking it, that it takes some time. This is ridiculous It is now the 14th and he has had the new phone for 3 days!!! How much longer does one have to wait?! I am writing this for him because when he calls he gets no where, and he is UNABLE to access the web on his phone! We would like some troubleshooting options, or some UNDERSTANDING customer service to help resolve these ISSUES!!

Straight Talk wireless customer service is a pain to try and reason with. The customer service tries to understand you but unfortunately I have not had any luck with that as of yet. I recently had to purchase my 10th phone in the past two years. I do not mind purchasing them and am satisfied with the coverage area ( as long as it is not a smart phone due to the lack in coverage area I do not recommend one from straight talk) Where the problem lies is I purchased a phone, called to have the same number as my broken phone transferred to my now new phone. NO problems at all got the number transferred the same day as I called them. Then the very next day that phone froze up on me. I call straight talk and they say to bring the phone back to Walmart. I go get a new one and called to have the number transferred to this new straight talk wireless phone. I was under the impression that just as the day before my phone number was transferred and phone is activated and ready to use after speaking to a customer service REP. Seven hours later I find out that my previous straight talk number had NOT been transferred to this new phone. And I have a different number. I called back to the customer service and was told by the REP. that in two hours Call *22890 and then shut phone off for 10 sec. turn it back on. And my old cell number would be assigned back to the phone. That did not happen the old number was still on the phone. This happened 3 times, every time I had to call back and go through the same processes as before. With the same results, the phone number was never transferred. I called back again and requested to speak with a supervisor in order to be sure this time that it is done right. The supervisor said that I had to call from a different number other then the phone that we were trying to get the number correct on. During that call the supervisor stated that he was taking technical notes to be sure that the next person I spoke to could be any one of the REP to correct the problem. Supervisor said that I had to deactivate and reactivate to fix the problem of the incorrect number being assigned to the phone. So, they deactivated my phone that had the incorrect number to reactivate it with my old cell number which was what I had been attempting to do all along. Only to find out that the phone is not activated at all. And when I call I receive a different answer about how long I must wait before the phone can be reactivated one says 2 hrs one says 12 hrs and now its 48 hrs wait time with no supervisors available to speak with to correct the problem. Now it has been 72 hrs since the phone had been deactivated to then reactivate to change the number. And when I call back to the customer service I am told another 48 hrs and the phone will be activated. Which is what I have been told twice now.
