My daughter received a brand new LG Premier Straighttalk L62VL purchased at Wal-Mart as a birthday present on July 17, 2016 and activated her service. Which worked properly for 13 days. The morning of Aug 1st, the 14th day she awoke to an 'Invalid Sim' error message. She was unable to use the device at all from Aug 1st until Aug 7th. The replacement Sim was received, installed, and activated on the evening of Aug 8th. The second Sim worked for 9 uninterrupted days. The second 'Invalid Sim' error occurred on Aug 17th. At the present time she is once again unable to use her device pending the delivery of Sim #3. So, within the first 30 days of purchase two Sims have failed and she has been unable to use the device on two separate occasions for a total of 8 days.
Today I contact the product manufacturer that tells me LG has a legal agreement with Straighttalk requiring that all warranty related defects must be processed through Straighttalk. But, when I specifically asked the Representative yesterday about the policy on new devices that continue to fail from the time of purchase, I was told if it happens again, to call them again to have a new one sent. I was not satisfied with the response I received. I restated that this is the third time the device will have a Sim installed. The device was purchased with the specific intent to be available for use consistently and without interruption in emergencies. If the 3rd Sim also fails, I will consider the device either unsuitable to be used for its intended purpose as advertised or defective. Therefore, I refuse to do this again if it happens a 'next time.' I asked if I have any other options available to customers in these cases and received the exact same answer.
This is my last ditch effort to obtain the assistance that I need. I would like to speak with someone who has advanced mastery skills in the areas necessary to critically evaluate the device for defects. As well as, the ability to satisfactorily answer questions regarding policies and procedures on defective devices and the warranty agreement on LG devices via phone. Preferably as soon as possible, please.
Thank-you!
