I found out that all new smartphones have this new "Kill switch" installed by all manufacturers because a new law passed prevents a thief from accessing a phone if there is a password on it and trying to factory reset it. Is there a way to bypass the kill switch if I have the phone and THERE IS NO PASSWORD ON IT and I want to wipe data and reset phone, I cannot reset through settings on phone, Backup & reset, it says factory reset disabled by server policy. I cannot reset this phone and its making my very upset. Tech Support here says they cannot help me. This "Kill switch" is built to all new phones and if someone hacks your gmail and enables this then your phone can never be reset again. Manufacture offer no help either. So this phone is basically a brick. Time to throw it away and think about it before I buy another phone from Straight Talk, Net10, Tracfone, or any of the affailiate companies.
