LG Sunrise stuck on LG screen

Hello, my LG sunrise is stuck on the LG screen and remains that way, I have tried taking the battery out and restarting the phone but it doesn't get past the LG screen. I have tried a factory reset but I got a message saying that Kill switch has disabled factory reset. I have no clue why this happened or how to fix it.

Please help! My husband's freaking out cause his lg sunrise is also stuck on lg screen. As it happens he had just sent me a text when it screwed up! Lol...of course it's a conspiracy! I'd greatly appreciate any help. Haven't been able to get it to reset either.
