All the messages in this thread are from 2016. So it is now 2018 and I'm wondering if Straight Talk has made any progress on being able to manually upgrade/update the OS. I have a Stylo 2 running lollipop that I'd like to upgrade to Marshmallow. If this is not possible then I am done with Straight Talk. For $5 more a month I can join Verizon's prepaid plan and get updates and many other services that Straight Talk seems to struggle with.
Please tell me that ST has made it possible to manually update phones that run on the Verizon network.
