LG stylo3 dropping to 1X

Every time I set my phone down it drops to 1X. I have great 4G LTE coverage here at home and at work in town but I can set my phone down a couple seconds and it drops to 1X and I have to turn on airplane mode and turn it off again to get 4G back. Getting aggravated!
