LG Premier Straighttalk L62VL

LG Premier Straighttalk L62VL

My daughter received a brand new LG Premier Straighttalk L62VL purchased at Wal-Mart as a birthday present on July 17, 2016 and activated her service. Which worked properly for 13 days. The morning of Aug 1st, the 14th day she awoke to an 'Invalid Sim' error message. She was unable to use the device at all from Aug 1st until Aug 7th. The replacement Sim was received, installed, and activated on the evening of Aug 8th. The second Sim worked for 9 uninterrupted days. The second 'Invalid Sim' error occurred on Aug 17th. At the present time she is once again unable to use her device pending the delivery of Sim #3. So, within the first 30 days of purchase two Sims have failed and she has been unable to use the device on two separate occasions for a total of 8 days.

Today I contact the product manufacturer that tells me LG has a legal agreement with Straighttalk requiring that all warranty related defects must be processed through Straighttalk. But, when I specifically asked the Representative yesterday about the policy on new devices that continue to fail from the time of purchase, I was told if it happens again, to call them again to have a new one sent. I was not satisfied with the response I received. I restated that this is the third time the device will have a Sim installed. The device was purchased with the specific intent to be available for use consistently and without interruption in emergencies. If the 3rd Sim also fails, I will consider the device either unsuitable to be used for its intended purpose as advertised or defective. Therefore, I refuse to do this again if it happens a 'next time.' I asked if I have any other options available to customers in these cases and received the exact same answer.

This is my last ditch effort to obtain the assistance that I need. I would like to speak with someone who has advanced mastery skills in the areas necessary to critically evaluate the device for defects. As well as, the ability to satisfactorily answer questions regarding policies and procedures on defective devices and the warranty agreement on LG devices via phone. Preferably as soon as possible, please.

Thank-you!

I am also having the same issue!! I am completely frustrated with the situation. I also contacted LG for assistance and after goibg through some useless troubleshooting was sent to straight talk. They sent a new sim. Same error message. They then sent a new phone despite the fact mine was purchased in June. I got the new phone yesterday and today I have an invalid sim again. I would also like to be contacted on this issue as I dont see my monthly card being reimbursed for time in transit for replacement parts.

This same issue has pushed me away from the company entirely, anyone who is looking at this phone should be aware of this issue. I had 3 phones do this to me within a time frame of about 5 days. This has to be a common issue no other reason I would of ended up with 3 faulty phones in 5 days.

Take the issue offline are you serious? I clicked on the link was totally unhelpful what do you suggest I inquiry for? Because I No longer have service I still have one of the phones that is no older than 4 days I will be returning tomorrow. I have tried speaking with your live chat and none of them have been helpful at all, I would hate to take this offline and not allow people who may be thinking about buying this phone or currently have this phone going through more heartache to end up with the results I did. Which was basically pushed away from your company all together, after being promised a replacement phone of a newer model if the sim card did not work. The sim card that was sent died 5 minutes in the phone. When I had contacted tech support only thing that was done for me was a disconnection of service, after denying replacing the phone with a better model. Why take this offline If i'm not going to be directed to a proper live chat, to where someone truly cares about the customers of your company. How about we have an online discussion tho and lets not try to censor the issue with these phones.

After a quick google search of straight talk review led me to exactly as I expected the tech support isnt helpful and the customer isnt valued. This will be my last post Im just here to let others know of the negative experience i've had and the links that was provided by ST-Jean wasnt helpful at all. Just took me to the chat support that wasnt helpful and created this issue to begin with. By promising me a newer model not standing by that promise, and providing solutions that werent solutions at all just a way to kill time. I'm incredibly upset with the experience i've had after being with your company for two years I'm just now having issues with the tech support when I wanted to upgrade my phone. As I stated if you are looking into this phone do not purchase it, or risk the same fate I had with the terrible Invalid Sim card error. If you are having that issue now just return the phone the trick may work for a short while but the problem isnt in the sim card its the phone itself.

An old proverb: It is no use crying over spilt milk, that is, you can’t do anything if something happens. However, sometimes it is not true. Something can be repaired after it happens. For example, your Android files including pictures, contacts, videos etc. Get lost because of wrongly delete, can be restored fully to your Android just with a few steps by using recovery phone number . OK, let’s go ahead and see how it retrieve photos on Android.
