Code 97

Code 97

Postby eamurphy66 » Sat Aug 25, 2012 4:06 pm

I refilled my fhone account on the 8/23/12, the next morning I could not send or recieve texts or calls, and browser does not work. I try to make a call and a message states that my phone haas been deactivated. I try to send a text and a messege appears saying account error, contact customer care, report code 97 when messaging. I called cutomer service, was told to update profile, shut off phone, turn on phone, but still did not work. Then I was told to call back in 24 hours. Need help.

Just purchased a new straight talk galaxy precedent on Sunday August 26, had it fully activated and working by Monday. I was able to use it for two days and when I woke up this morning I tried to send a text and I got a message saying error 97, text failed to send. I then tried to make a phone call and a voice told me that my phone has been deactivated. My account at straight talk online also refers to my phone as deactivated. I just purchased the 3 month unlimited service card and it seems straight talk wants me to buy another one. Ridiculous! I'm not letting $130 go down the drain for two days of service. Please help me turn my service back on, I want what I paid for.

I'm having the same issue here. I've tried restarting my phone, updating the PRL and Profile. I have plenty of signal and I have a wireless connection with my phone . I've never had an issue with it until now. It just keeps telling me:

"Code: 97
Account Error: Message not sent. Please contact customer care and report a code 97 when sending messages"
