Nice, Thank You.

This actually does work, and allows my phone to connect to the internet without having to be on Wi-Fi.

The downside is that it also means that the best speeds it can reach are 3g.

Having paid $450 for a phone that connects at 3g in order to use data, or having to change a setting each time to connect for 4g (and a restart each time) is a tad bit too tedious and annoying. And the customer support definitely has issues.

But when I turn Wi-Fi off I get no Data... Wtf?!
And they don't sell AT&T Sim cards?!

Straight_Bob, I've got the same problem! So I received the phone on Tuesday, and it was automatically set to LTE/CDMA. The thing is, my area is in the process of Sprint's $G LTE rollout, hopefully completed by the end of summer. So, I switch to CDMA only. It works, I can get 3G data. Problem is, I can only receive, and not SEND, MMS. I can send and receive text messages fine, and make calls, etc.

I really don't think the SIM card issue has anything to do with data if you bought the SG3 directly from the StraightTalk website, like I did, Plus, as someone mentioned above, there is not slot for a SIM card on ST GS3 devices.

Also, what is the deal with having to post 5 times before enabling private messaging on this forum IN ORDER for the reps to help us? Great customer service, StraightTalk. I'm almost fed but but I have almost 20 days left before I return this phone and never look back.

I had a similar experience. First my telephone # did not transfer when I activated the GS3. After an hour with a ST technician my # was transferred but the data connection disappeared. After 2 more lengthy troubleshooting sessions the data connection was restored after the regular cdma was selected and the phone rebooted. In less than a week the verdict is still out.

What the hell is with this secrecy from these Straight Talk goons? The question was posted in a PUBLIC forum and other people would benefit from the answers! What are they trying to hide? This "take this issue offline" is a crock of you know what!! Why don't you answer the damn question HERE, so EVERYONE can benefit from the answer!

I upgraded my Straight Talk phone to the Straight Talk Samsung SCH-S960L Galaxy S III yesterday, but I am unable to use internet when LTE/CDMA Prefered Network Mode is selected. All the Straight Talk product information for this device states 4G LTE. Does anyone know how to configure the settings properly to receive 4G LTE service? Alternatively, does anyone know if you change the Preferred Network Mode to just CDMA, will it pick up 4G LTE when it is available?
