Missing voicemail notifications & strange texts

Today I realized I haven't been receiving voicemail notifications. I am getting texts such as

//VZWVVM:SYNC:ev=NM;id=21;c=1;t=v;s=14069393475;dt=10/07/2017 10:29 -0600;l=5;dev_t=5

I need voicemail to be working as I am launching my startup today. I tried the chat support in the straight talk app and was given these instructions but they didn't do any good.

Phone off
Remove SIN
Reinsert after a minute
Turn phone on
Call *86 enter password and push #
Follow instructions

How can I get voicemail notifications again?
