T528G Text & Contacts Question

First off, this phone sucks. But I'm trying to deal with it.

1. How do I view texts while a call is in progress? I can send a message, but I have no way to view incoming texts while talking.

2. How can I import my contacts from my previous phone? My computer won't recognize the phone, and that's where my contacts are stored.

I dare you to answer these questions directly, rather than route me away from public view. You might actually help people that way.
