fix time

the time and date messed up on my husbands phone and i dont know
how to fix it back.Its a motorola w 418g

that didnt work.All that did was turn the time on or off.

Hi brenlee. Do you have enough bars on the phone? If you don't have the option to reset that manually, then the phone is Auto-Update. That means that the time just update depending on your location in the area. Thanks!

no what happened was it got knocked on the floor the battery came out
and when i put it back in the time date and year are messed up
the year has 2004

i have a motorola phone too and i am having this samee problem i took my battery out yesterday and know my phone shows 1/1/2004 as date and wrong time and everytimee it is turned off and back on it resets back to 1/1/2004 12 am

Hi dustint. My name is StraightTalk Charisse. Please try taking the battery out of your phone while it's on. Take the SIM card out as well. Wait for about a minute before putting the SIM card and battery back in. Check if your phone will ask you to set the time and date. Let me know if that works.
