I would like to know if the StraightTalk Moto E is going to be updated to the lollipop android version?

Hi person. My name is Straight Talk Lindsay. We cannot upgrade the phone’s operating system. However, Google will send a notification once an updated version of your phone’s operating system is available. Thanks.

I was literally just told by Motorola to check with straight talk about a schedule for my 1st gen moto e. Where is the upgrade?

Yes you can update your current model to mashmallow by following steps given in Motorola MOTO E Manual- guideusermanual.com/product-name-moto-e-manual&po=505898&lang=English. This might surely work for you.
