Cell network termination email

Cell network termination email

Postby Ellwood » Fri Apr 05, 2019 3:25 pm

I received an email telling me that a cell phone on my account will not be supported at some point this year due to an upgrade. The email instructs me to purchase a new phone.

On my straight talk.com account page, there is nothing noting the the phone in question needs to be replaced.

Is this email correct? Or a scam?

Your device will be affected by network changes.

Your phone with number ********** currently utilizes a network which

Since you're a loyal customer, we would like to give you a great discount on a
phone that will allow you to start using these new networks now ‑ gaining improved
service and avoiding a service interruption when the networks change.
