Mobile Hotspot sim card is "no longer in use"... How to re-a

I haven't used my mobile hotspot since 2016. (I only used it for a month.)
It's listed as INACTIVE under my Straight talk account. I'd like to re-activate my device.
I typed in my sim card number and got an alert stating that it is no longer in use.

I plan on going to Walmart later. Can I buy any ST sim card plus a service card and have it back up and running? Is there a special sim card I need to buy since it's a mobile hotspot and not a cellphone or will it work?

My hotspot model is Z288L
