Upgrading from old ST phone to new ST phone

Postby Rrickynsc » Sat Jan 14, 2012 1:59 am

I recently purchased a "All you need $30.00 plan" for my old phone. Today I decided I wanted a newer phone and so I purchased a new phone, LG Optimus Q. My newer phone only takes the $45 unlimited plan. Can I transfer my minutes from my old phone over to my new phone even though it is only the $30.00 all you need plan or will I need to wait and use those minutes before trying to transfer my number and service over to the new "45.00 unlimited plan" only phone. I do not want to lose the minutes I have already purchased.

Hi by Rrickynsc, my name is Straight Talk John and I will be addressing your query. The Android phones will not be able to be used with the All You Need Plan or $30 Service Plan. You must consume your current service on your current phone before transferring it to the LG Optimus Q. Thanks!

Hello.... I have the same exact issua as above BUT my $30 card runs out the 25th & I fear my new phone will not be here yet. If I activate my $45 card on my current phone, when my Optimus gets here, within days of activating the $45 card, will I be able to just 'upgrade' my phone online & my unlimited card travel with it (that is how I have switched several of my ST phones in the past-I show 3 UNactivated phones up there currently, after Omimus activation I will have 4 inactive- unless) Thank You!

Hi crissy@kci.net. My name is Straight Talk John and I will be addressing your query. No need to worry about that, you may just add your Unlimited Service to your current phone so your phone number will not be deactivated. We can just transfer the Unlimited Service and phone number to the new phone when it is delivered. Hope this answer your question. Thanks!
