How to update operating system on LG Stylo 2

St Mark, based off of most responses toward updating and not technically recommending to do so, I'm still curious as how to find the update. Is there a link or at least directions out there third party?

Hi. I just bought my second Stylo 2 plus bc I thought I messed my first one up when I couldn't get it to upgrade. Now I find out that this is on purpose and not public knowledge? Wtf? Anyway, I need help updating my TWO lgl82vl's and would LOVE to finally be able to ROOT the damn things. Help me PLEASE!
It wouldn't even upset me if it was commonly known that ST's branded phones can't be updated... Without work-arounds. If there was a disclaimer SOMEWHERE it wouldn't feel so much like my fave phone service just came up to give me a nice, friendly hug but as I closed my eyes with my arms open, it kicked me in the balls, with steel toed boots, that are rocket powered, and full of hardened cement... Then wants to know why I'm not happy with them and crying all balled up on the ground.
Please help me turn these bursted balls (PHONES) into something less painful (MARSHMALLOW BALLS perhaps). A well guided HOW TO ROOT ST PHONES would be much appreciated as I have tried so many "normal" ways but when it does obtain root, it shortly resets and we'll... Drawing board time.
