I'm not so much concerned about keeping the number. However, I have the AT&T activation card. Would I be able to keep AT&T if we turn the service back on later on?

The issue is my daughter. Phones have become a tool by parents use to enforce rules with their children. Sometimes that requires us to turn the phone off for a period of time. I'm needing to turn the phone off for 2 months and then I expect to turn it back on then.
