selling straight talk phone? (only 8 days to figure out!)

I currently have a Motorola EX124G phone and I am switching from Straight Talk to Tracfone. (I don't text/talk enough to spend $30 a month... it's a great deal if you do though!) Anyway, I want to sell the Motorola phone on ebay, but I'm not quite sure how it works for the buyer... Do they need to get a new SIM card, or do they get my old number? What about deleting my Straight Talk account and phone off the account? I'm kinda confused about the whole thing. (not a techy kinda person) I would love to keep my old number, but if it means not being able to sell my old phone, then I will get a new number from Tracfone. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi cabelasalltheway. My name is StraightTalk Stephanie and I will be addressing your question. If you want to keep your old phone number and transfer to TracFone, you may do so by requesting to port your number over. Once the number has been ported completely, you can then request to remove your phone from your account then you can now sell it on EBay. Thanks!
