activation problems

Postby michigan32 » Thu Jan 05, 2012 10:19 pm

purchased a straight talk samsung phone at walmart today....wanted a new number, not transferring an old number....tried to activate online, but the *22890 number says unable to activate....online shows a new phone number issued to me....called the 1-877 automated response number, says my phone and card are active, but when trying to make calls, says phone needs to be activated....the process shouldnt be this difficult

Thanks elle. It is now saturday night and my phone is still not working and no one has contacted me. The phone is apparently not programmed. Spent an hour with cust support turning phone on and off, taking out the battery and putting it back in, and manual code entry. Then I am told to wait a day due to "holiday volume" and try to reprogram with the *22890 number. That holiday was 2 weeks ago and if you still have a holiday volume backlog, you must have tons of satisfied customers. So now I am on day 4 without a working phone but of course the meter is running on my phone card. And i anxiously await tomorrow when i call tech support and start the merry go round all over again

Oh and I forgot the best part of all. Yesterday they sent me an email survey asking me to rate my satisfaction with their service. Priceless
